Cat Calculators
Every feeding, weight, growth, and safety tool we use for the cats in our own house — in one place, ready whenever you need a straight answer.
Feeding & Nutrition
Work out portions, calories, and feeding amounts for your cat.
Getting portions right is harder than it looks. A cat's calorie needs shift with weight, age, and how active they are, and dry food's density means small measuring mistakes add up fast. These seven calculators turn your cat's numbers into an actual amount you can put in the bowl.
Cat Calorie Calculator
Estimates how many calories your cat needs per day based on weight, life stage, and activity level.
Cat Wet Food Calculator
Works out exactly how much wet food your cat needs each day.
Cat Dry Food Calculator
Gives you a precise daily portion for cats fed on kibble.
Cat Mixed Feeding Calculator
Balances wet and dry food portions when giving both in the same day.
Cat Feeding Schedule Calculator
Works out how often to feed your cat and at what times.
Cat Food Portion Calculator
Tells you exactly how much to put in the bowl at each meal.
Cat IAMS Feeding Calculator
Works out the correct daily IAMS portion for your cat.
Cat Raw Food Calculator
Estimates the correct raw food portion based on weight, life stage, and activity level.
Weight & Health
Check weight, hydration, and overall health targets for your cat.
Weight alone doesn't tell you if a cat is healthy. Frame size, hydration, and body condition matter just as much, and this section works out where your cat actually stands and what a safe path to a healthier weight looks like.
Cat BMI Calculator
Assesses whether your cat is underweight, healthy, or overweight using body condition scoring.
Cat Weight Loss Calculator
Creates a safe, structured weight-loss plan for overweight cats.
Cat Water Intake Calculator
Estimates how much total water your cat needs per day.
Age & Growth
Track your cat's age, growth, size, and life stage.
Cats don't age at a fixed rate, and kittens don't grow in a straight line either. These calculators translate your cat's age into human terms and project where a growing kitten is likely to land as an adult.
Cat Age Calculator
Converts your cat's age into the human equivalent and identifies their life stage.
Cat Growth Calculator
Estimates your kitten's adult weight using real feline growth curves.
Cat Size Calculator
Estimates your cat's expected adult size based on current measurements, age, and breed characteristics.
Cat Weight Calculator
Estimates a healthy weight range for your cat based on age and frame.
Litter & Home
Choose the right litter tray setup and home environment for your cat.
Most litter trays sold in stores are too small for the cat using them. This calculator works out the tray dimensions your cat's actual body size calls for.
Cat Litter Box Size Calculator
Finds the right litter tray dimensions for your cat.
Pregnancy
Estimate due dates, labour timing, and key pregnancy milestones.
From confirming a pregnancy to knowing when labour has gone on too long, timing matters. These two calculators map out the gestation window and the stages of birth so you know what to expect and when to call a vet.
Cat Pregnancy Calculator
Estimates your cat's due date and maps out key pregnancy milestones.
Cat Birth Calculator
Estimates when labour started and how each delivery stage should progress.
Toxicity
Check poisoning risk if your cat has eaten something harmful.
Chocolate and grapes are two of the most common kitchen accidents with cats, and neither is forgiving. These calculators give you a fast first read on how serious the exposure is while you get your cat to a vet.
Cat Chocolate Toxicity Calculator
Estimates poisoning risk based on how much chocolate your cat ate and what type it was.
Cat Raisin Toxicity Calculator
Estimates risk if your cat has eaten raisins, grapes, sultanas, or currants.
Frequently Asked Questions
How accurate are these calculators?
They're built on standard veterinary formulas, like resting energy requirement and daily energy requirement calculations, used across feline nutrition guidelines. They give a solid starting point, but every cat is different, so treat the numbers as a baseline to adjust from, not a fixed target.
Can these replace advice from my vet?
No. These tools are for everyday planning and quick estimates, not diagnosis or emergency care. For weight loss plans, pregnancy, or anything involving possible poisoning, a vet's hands-on assessment is what actually keeps your cat safe.
Do I need to sign up or pay to use these?
No. Every calculator on this page is free, and there's no account or email required.
Why do the results change so much between life stages?
A kitten, an intact adult, and a senior cat burn calories at very different rates, sometimes more than double the difference. Picking the right life stage in each calculator matters as much as getting the weight right.
What if my cat has a medical condition?
These calculators assume a generally healthy cat. If your cat has kidney disease, diabetes, or another condition affecting metabolism, your vet's guidance should override anything calculated here.
Can I use these for kittens?
Some of them, yes. The Growth, Age, and most Feeding calculators account for kittens directly. For very young kittens still nursing, talk to your vet or breeder instead of relying on a calculator.

Why trust these numbers?
Every calculator here is built on established veterinary reference points, resting and daily energy requirement formulas, standard feline gestation windows, and documented toxicity thresholds for things like chocolate and grapes, not guesswork or rounded-off guesses. Figures are cross-checked against veterinary nutrition guidelines and updated as that guidance changes.
